It was our aim to create an interior space that was commercial and contemporary using material that has been recycled from other buildings. The desks, floorboards and Bangor Blue Slates came from the Belturbet Covent of Mercy, demolished in 2008, brick was reclaimed from Florencecourt, demolished also in 2008. The interior structures were also made using material recycled from building projects. The Scaffold Cladding was previously used on bridges on the A5 extension project. The design utilises the material to create a tactile, efficient and user friendly hub for a functional educational facility.
